Glastonbury 2009

Depois de ter sido muito criticado em 2008 – por ter escalado o rapper Jay-Z como headliner-, o festival de Glastonbury dá a volta por cima. Com nada menos do que 5 meses até o festival, os ingressos já estão praticamente esgotados. Um novo e pequeno lote vai estar disponível apenas em 05/04. O festival acontece entre 26 e 28 de junho, e ainda não há um line-up oficial. Segundo o site “gorge.org”, os rumores são os seguintes:

Confirmed (Confirmed in the press by Michael or Emily Eavis, or self-confirmed by the artist).

Lily Allen - has suggested she’ll be on the pyramid at 6pm one day
Blur - told a reader they are appearing
Bon Iver - down for the Park Stage
Franz Ferdinand - confirmed after performing at Pilton Party last year
Rolf Harris - self-confirmed on Radio 2
Major Major - won the band competition and so get a slot
The Ting Tings - confirmed after performing at Pilton Party last year

Rumoured (These are believed likely to appear from all available clues!).

Kaiser Chiefs - thought to have told people they are playing
The Specials - keen to play as it’s their 30th anniversary
Bruce Springsteen - considered highly likely with a gap in his schedule
Neil Young - rumoured in several places

Maybe? (These artists have suspicious gaps in their schedule, or similar. Also includes artists still in negotiation with the Festival).

Doves - returning to gigging
Keane - have said they are keen to play
Madness - playing festival dates in 2009
Madonna - rumoured, but is she really likely?
Stereophonics - are a possible
